In 2001, Gray-Cabey began his acting career as a child actor, making his first appearance on television, he had a recurring role in ABC's sitcom series My Wife and Kids portraying Franklin Mumford, he won for Best Performance in a TV Series - Young Actor Age Ten or Younger award in 27th Young Artist Awards.^[2] He also made his feature film debut as Joey Dury in Lady in the Water.
