Ben Johnson's arrival as head coach for the Chicago Bears is coming with heightened expectations, especially on the offensive side with quarterback Caleb Williams.
The most obvious and urgent fix that is needed for the offense is upgrading the offensive line.
After Williams was sacked a league-high 68 times and the offense, loaded with talent, looked abysmal for most of the 2024 season, the Bears acted quickly to land Johnson this offseason.
The attention now shifts to upgrading the trenches on both sides of the football, and that's where former Bears running back Matt Forte believes the emphasis needs to be in order to succeed in Johnson's system.
During an interview with CHGO, Forte was asked his thoughts on the keys to a successful Bears offense next season, and the entire conversation surrounded the state of the offensive line.
